It all started with a wedding invitation. One of my friends in Shanghai is getting married!
Don’t they look fab?! I thought this is the perfect time to visit another friend, whom I also met in Shanghai, and haven’t seen in years!
She told me we should sew things together. I thought. Ok, why not do a workshop as well. We announced on Facebook probably a month before.
Wait, I almost forgot,
I caught the bouquet!!! 😂😂😂 One of the highlights of my trip. I hope this tradition yields accurate results. Lol!
For the location, we are so lucky to find a newly opened establishment, Arendo Coworking Space. They are really nice there and accommodating and it is right in front of LaSalle.
The students I’ve met have interest in sewing but some of them have just tried to sew but without formal training.
We were laughing and just sewing together. 🙂
Here are some pictures from the event. As always, it is very warm and pleasant to be in Bacolod 🙂 Oh and I probably ate a bit too much lol. We were eating non-stop! Today is rest day before leaving for Manila tomorrow! Thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I would just like to share this clip when we did sewing demo with kids. Actually they were very curious about the machine. 🙂
This week, we have one of our students sew a mermaid tail. She’s only 6!!! It was quite fun and interesting to do as I think she is one of our youngest students. She may be young but she knows what she wants. 🙂
She was assisted the whole time she was sewing. We also explained to her how the measurements was taken and she cut the paper pattern herself.
I think with kids, it is nice to encourage them to make their own things and decide on the colors, the style and all these things as it helps them pay attention to details and be more creative.
If you would also like to try making your own mermaid tail, you can leave us a message here.
